It made me think it would be worthwhile doing the lightning-talk, as I'd been umming-and-ahhing about it prior to that. And yes, in the same way that the system logs idea suggests some post-processing to pull out interesting information from the raw data, I think that having emergent conventions (e.g. hashtags) within these logs could be really helpful for machine processing of this data at a later point to get further value / establish feedback loops etc.Ben Basshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02283998269313171389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3029438816324283001.post-57353409024783885362012-10-06T12:20:14.195+01:002012-10-06T12:20:14.195+01:00It's a really good idea, for a lot of reasons....It's a really good idea, for a lot of reasons. I don't know if you were in the 'Becoming a Better Programmer' talk on Friday? During questions I suggested the value of a 'system logs' analogy for reflexive use (write things down, and use your logs to identify circumstances which tend to promote or inhibit flow). 'Typing to yourself' would fit the bill beautifully, and do more to boot. Thanks for a great lightning talk :-)Gailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16918028788059683399noreply@blogger.com
